This Saturday October 4th World Bird Day is celebrated.
For the fifteenth consecutive year, the Association of Friends of Nature and the City of Mazarrón celebrate this date with an activity dedicated to children.
A stand installed next to the Plaza del Convento host the traditional falconry display wide acceptance among young audiences.
In addition, the organizers have prepared drawing and cutout work with the aim of spreading the world of birds.
The booth will be open from 10 to 13 hours.
Attendees will receive a commemorative t-shirt as a gift.
At present there are 1300 species of endangered birds in the world.
The celebration of this day serves well also for the status of ecosystems, such as has been said Councilman Environment, David Fernandez, who highlighted the valuable natural heritage housed Mazarrón where you have a large number of birds national and international interest.
Fernandez noted that to celebrate this date in Spain a total of 200 activities were organized, of which 7 are carried out in the Region of Murcia including the Mazarrón is scheduled.
The activity will be completed on Saturday with a hiking route through the mountains of Granada La Sagra, programmed by the Association of Friends of Nature, as announced by the association spokesman Rafael Peral.
