November 11 is a set for the countries of the Commonweatlh date.
It is the day that commemorates the members of the Armed Forces who died in the line of duty.
Held since World War 11 on the 11th of the 11th month, at which time there was an armistice of that war in 1918.
The community of British residents in the urbanization of Camposol not overlook this date and meets every year around the Garden of Remembrance to remember their dead.
Clothing and caps with decorations present in a solemn religious ceremony culminating in the donation of flowers to the memorial to those killed in the course of their military work.
This year, despite the rain about a hundred people came to attend this event which was attended by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Garcia, who was accompanied by Councillor Care Abroad, Ismael Gomez, the councilors of Social Policy Agriculture and Maria Magdalena Martinez and Mendez and aldermen of Services and Environment, Miguel Muñoz and Juan David Gómez respectively.
All of them, members of the government team, donated a dozen roses and acacias near the cross and memorial Garden of Remembrance.
Poppy is one of the symbols of this day.
Flower which grew in the battlefields of Flanders and is now a familiar emblem for the British.
Its red color reminiscent of blood spilled in the war.
