The plenum of the municipal corporation has agreed to change a point of the ordinance regulating the Property Tax (IBI) with effect from January 1, 2015.
Last October the city adopted set a tax rate of 0.44%.
Something that was based on the report of the technical service that has contracted the City.
In that city it was decided to set a type, when applied to taxable income, receipt of 2015 out somewhat lower than in 2014.
Last week the Mayor received a new report from the same helpdesk, in which the contractor itself stated that it had made a mistake in reporting on the amount by which would be taxable IBI Padrón 2015. The company said therefore an amendment that the mayor has been full.
In the words of Francisco Garcia, in extraordinary session:
"That mispricing ago, if not remedied this city, that the city loses a collection of about 3 million. This figure would be totally unaffordable by the Municipality, so that brings back a new proposal to set a type lien different this year.
The decision already taken this city to make the receipt for 2015 are still held down.
Moreover, the reduction in the receipt will notice the taxpayer will be even greater than originally planned due to rounding on the type.
Therefore, it becomes necessary before the big drop in taxable income the tax rate is fixed at 0.59%, so that the loss of revenue that will suffer the City by the reduction of receipts to taxpayers, either financially bearable, as if to take no action an unsustainable financial situation would occur.
In short, I repeat: Set the type to that amount will assume that the receipt of 2015 is, overall, lower than 2014. "
This modification has been finally approved by 11 votes in favor (PSOE, UIDM, IU and Parema) and 4 against (PP).
