The regional circuit Bike Marathon season opened last Sunday in Mazarrón.
About 200 riders took the start in the forecourt of fairground Corners.
The test of 52 km route is penetrated by some of the landscapes of Mazarrón through the Alto de Penaranda, Sierra del Algarrobo and shooting range.
Organized by the Club Ciclista Phoenicians, the I Bike Marathon Mazarrón raised expectations from early morning.
Scoring for the regional competition, the race attracted prominent figures such as professional exciclista Fran Perez ended rising winner completing the course in the fastest time: 2 hours 15 minutes and 30 seconds.
Fabian Molina and Tomas Navarro took second and third place on the podium.
While María José Haro was the first woman to cross the finish line after adding 2 hours 53 minutes and 33 seconds.
Cecilia Sopeña and Lidia Fernández de Totana completed the feminine podium.
The first local rider to cross the finish line was finally Agustín Herrero was ranked number 31. The mayors of Sports and Public Safety, Andrew James and Isidro Coy attended the awards ceremony.
