The collector and correspondent Matthew Garcia has returned to donate a hundred slides collect valuable images of the municipality.
The Municipal Archives and enhances its heritage with this new donation whose formal ceremony took place at the offices of the City of Mazarrón, in the presence of the Councillor for Culture, Ginés Campillo and municipal archivist, Magdalena Campillo.
Mateo Garcia signed the delivery document later was also signed with his signature by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco García.
Mateo Garcia welcomed this issue because as stated and is known is "in love with Mazarrón, Port and its districts."
Mateo Garcia, who has a street in the town, was born in 1925 in the nearby town of Alhama de Murcia and lives in Totana.
He was always linked to Mazarrón and worked as a newspaper correspondent for the Journal Guadalentin Line of Murcia.
To his credit has numerous files Mazarrón and has published several books collecting photographs that review the history of the town since the early twentieth century to today.
For the Councillor for Culture, Ginés Campillo, it's a new donation enrique municipal heritage.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Garcia, also appreciates the delivery of this new material which may be consulted in the future by Mazarron and visitors.
