José Gaspar account from Wednesday with a street in Puerto de Mazarrón.
Galician origin, Gaspar came to Mazarrón to late 70s, working initially as a professional hospitality.
Later next to Pedro Chico founded Radio Costa Calida, making it one of the first professional radio in the town.
Closely related to the municipality defended local interests wherever he went.
He also participated in the creation of Localia TV and newspaper "Mazarrón Day to Day".
The street that bears his name is located between Avenida Doctor Meca and Calle Sierra de Cazorla in Puerto de Mazarrón, very close to the studios where he developed most of his professional work.
At the opening, chaired by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Garcia, has been present his fellow teacher and friend Pedro Chico.
For Chico is "a compliment to the work done in Mazarrón José Gaspar, one of the pioneers in broadcasting and a fighter for democracy in this country".
José Gaspar is also adopted son of the town and has gold plate the villa posthumously.
The mayor is done this way "just recognition of José Gaspar, a tireless worker who was closely linked to the municipality and its interests."
