For a month 800 fifth- and sixth grade from schools in Mazarrón, Puerto and districts participate in a new driver education field days organized by the local police in collaboration with the City of Mazarrón.
Activity that complements the theoretical instruction they have received during the course in their schools.
The conference will focus on the handling of the bike and respect the various signs and obstacles that may arise during driving.
The practices developed in the Municipal Sports Mazarrón by children between eight and ten years.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Garcia, visited on Tuesday the development of this conference by the City Council Public Safety, Isidro Coy and Chief Sergeant of the local police, Gerardo Marin.
On that visit, Marín highlighted the good results that have been offering educational programs of the local police, powered by the City of Mazarrón.
According Gerardo Marin, Mazarrón registered in recent years a significant decrease in traffic accidents in which they have been involved bicycles or mopeds.
Francisco Garcia has stressed the preventive aspect of these educational sessions and the importance it could have a future playground for the continued development of these practices.
For its part, the mayor of Public Safety, Isidro Coy, noted the good work done by your council and impacted on the figure of the police officer as a friend and not someone willing to punish.
