The Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Garcia, today confirmed the dismissal of mayors Ginés Campillo, Isidro Coy and Andrew James.
Decision was notified them yesterday and that will be a reorganization of the delegated powers who held that will be announced in the coming days.
At a press conference, Francisco Garcia has detailed the reasons that led him to this decision.
"In a few days there have been two very serious facts that I understand. Last week former Sports Town Planning and proceeded to open the swimming pool deck, although there is a decree of Mayor preventing opening motivated by the lack of a technical report to ensure the safety of users. Here we find therefore not only unfair action of some members of government but a negligence of a very serious nature, except that it is considering that the project could ensue material injury economic for municipal coffers. But above all, my duty as mayor has been to ensure the safety of the citizens of Mazarrón "argued Francisco Garcia.
The mayor continued saying that "last Tuesday session full regular spokesman Union group Independiente made accusations against me, manipulated accusations and totally false that shortly afterwards were vaunted in a press release sent to the media communication in which also the intention of the partner government to take legal action group was announced. In this regard I have to say that it has misrepresented the information. What was adopted in plenary was a joint assessment of all jobs. I have a place owned by the City, but not a particular post. When you stop taking public responsibility I occupy a position according to my category (group A), but not necessarily referred to by the Lord Campillo in his speech, "noted Francisco Garcia.
The mayor "for a while now there are two ways to act in municipal politics. Who works and meets the daily needs of the citizens of Mazarrón and strategist who acts in a one weeks ahead of the election campaign and as a victim wanting to show to citizens Mazarrón. This is no time to fool anyone and yes to work for this people in each of our responsibilities. "
Francisco went on to say that "during the three years Independent Union has been in the Hall my position and that of my council was always loyal and committed. Something they have not complied. This shows that neither believed in the covenant or have once known assume the change. Therefore if there has been some undemocratic and contrary to the word given behavior, here is an example. "
In the coming days it will be informed of the reorganization of the delegated powers who held the dismissed councilors.
Those powers are: Planning, Infrastructure, Culture, New Technologies, Heritage, Museums, Local Development, Training, Employment, Industry and Statistics in the case of Ginés Campillo, Celebrations and local police in the case of Isidro Coy and Finance Control Rates & Youth and Sports Supplies in the case of Andrew James.
Those powers belong to the Mayor to the announced reorganization.
