As every year since 1977 and every May the International Museum Day is celebrated in order to educate the general public about the role of these institutions in the development of society.
This time the International Council of Museums (ICOM) has chosen the theme "Museums for a Sustainable Society" as the main focus for all activities that occur around this celebration.
For this, the Roman Factory Salt Museum of Puerto de Mazarrón has prepared a program of activities including on one hand a blues and soul by Fernando Rubio and other educational development project "Learning to care Nature and Heritage "aimed at schoolchildren.
Saturday May 9, from 21:30 pm, the Roman Factory Museum will host a concert by guitarist and singer Fernando Rubio.
For this event we will be assisted winery Casa de la Ermita de Jumilla and Palancares Food Company.

Cartagena Fernando Rubio is a renowned musician with a long career that began in the 80s.
Moreover, on 11, 12, 13 and May 14 will be held the activity "Learning to care Nature and Heritage" for schoolchildren.
This educational project with the collaboration of the departments of Historical Heritage and Environment has two parts: a theoretical develop at school and a practice of a walking route in which they will tour the different most representative spaces municipal heritage.
