The Minister of Development, Public Works and Planning, Francisco Barnabas, today visited the works in the RM-D4 road, which runs between Mazarrón and RM-D8, in the town of Lorca, and passing through the districts Mazarron Leiva and La Atalaya and Morata Lorca.
Barnabas explained that "the action carried out has resulted in the crossing of the avenue of mulberry trees, two kilometers from the town of Mazarrón, where they have invested 150,000 euros to repair damage caused by the passage of time and, all by the floods that occasionally produces the boulevard. "
The work carried out involved the demolition firm and the damaged wall, running hearth stone pitching, construction of a battery of five pipes of a meter in diameter that runs the flow of the promenade, the reconstruction of walls masonry, executing rake, riprap protection, reconstruction of the pavement and the replacement of signing and lighting elements in the section concerned.
The holder of Development said that "with this procedure, not only the transit of vehicles using this road, which provides access to several villages and farms is improved, but the measures adopted to that possible flood damage on the promenade lesser extent the firm ".
The deadline for execution of the work carried out has been two months.
