The program of guided tours scheduled by the City of Mazarrón from February to the end of June has registered a large participation.
According to data provided by the tourist office staff so far they have been 10 guides, three of which corresponded to seven hiking trails to cultural visits.
Of these only one was suspended due to the weather.
Total users until the 10th of May was 240, of which 67 have participated in hiking activities and 173 in cultural.
Of all the routes, the defendant is the Mazarrón mines.
The same sources point out that participation has increased progressively with the arrival of good weather and with the launch of the online reservation service.
From late February through June Mazarrón it offers 16 new routes planned to seize the patrimonial and natural wealth of the municipality.
There are five walking routes that began on February 21 with a visit to Bolete Grande, an area with large and beautiful bays in the eastern slopes of Cape Tiñoso.
On March 21 the Sierra de las Moreras was promoted, which by their proximity to the sea offers a panoramic view of great beauty.
By April 18 the hiking route Algezares Ravine, amazing place and not well known was scheduled, despite being close to the city center.
The Sierra de las Herrerias will be visited on May 23 and Cala Salitrona June 20.
All tours are guided and have appropriate liability insurance, offering all the guarantees.
They will last two to four hours, with varying difficulty depending on the route.
As for the cultural routes, it is eleven visits by the various attractions of the town.
For the May 17 is scheduled to Historic Route Puerto de Mazarrón including the Roman Era Street House, the Salt Factory and Interpretation Centre Phoenician ships.
On 31 May, the theatrical visit to the Tower of Bolnuevo Horses explaining the popular Miracle offer.
For the June 6 it is scheduled to Historic Route for Mazarrón which includes a visit to Town Hall, Castle of Velez and Minas de Mazarrón, while the June 21 guided exclusively to visit Mazarrón Mines is offered.
Registration can be done on the web www.visitamazarron.es or the Tourist Office in Coopers Square Puerto de Mazarrón.
They will be among the seven days before and 24 hours before each route.
The departure time is 11:00 but the visit to the mines is 10:00 and the trails start at 09:00 hours.
