Hundreds of people accompany the fishermen in their homage to the Virgen del Carmen (17/07/2015)

The well-known "Star of the Sea", the Virgen del Carmen on Thursday received a bath of fervor and devotion of hundreds of people who wanted to accompany the fishermen of Mazarrón in the celebrations of the day of its patron saint.

The pastor of the Church of San José, Justo Jose Sanchez celebrated the traditional Mass dedicated to the worship of the image, whose throne presiding over the altar installed in the Fish fishing port in the presence of the main civil and military authorities of the town .

After the church ceremony, the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, refused to recognize, with a commemorative plaque, the trajectory of five local marine experienced: Lorenzo Garcia Gaitan, Bartholomew Caparrós Martinez, Diego Garcia Garcia, Juan Garcia Lopez, Christopher Vera Cano and Bartolomé García Muñoz.
