Castellar beach Friday was the spot chosen for the regional launch of the Surveillance and Rescue in Playas and Rescue at Sea (Copla Plan).
Device on whose tuning has informed the Minister of Presidency, Maria Dolores Pagan, accompanied by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez.
Daily Copla Plan mobilizes more than 250 people and is a regional investment of over 500,000 euros to be distributed in the coastal municipalities in the region.
Through this Plan they are enabled 126 posts at 71 beaches, which will be served throughout the summer for a total of 251 people, including rescue workers, medical personnel, drivers and patterns of rescue boats.
The municipalities that make up the device are offered 14 rescue boats on beaches, water rescue 12 motorcycles, 27 chairs for the disabled, 20 canoes Rescue, 6 quads, five ambulances, 4 ATVs and scooters.
Regarding resources for rescue at sea, the Minister of Presidency, Maria Dolores Pagan, said the Copla Plan includes five vessels in addition to the above, based in Cabo de Palos, Lo Pagan, San Pedro del Pinatar, Puerto de Mazarron and Aguilas.
All are run by Red Cross staff and funded by the Community.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez emphasized the important work done by both staff recruited as volunteers.
Mazarrón has 15 checkpoints, 3 jet skis, kayaks Rescue 13, a patrol of mobile surveillance and three amphibious wheelchairs for use by disabled people.
Fifty people ensure the safety of swimmers in the 35 kilometers of beaches along the coast Mazarron.
This year, as new, the Copla Plan integrates prevention campaign "Beachfront" to develop during the month of August.

The troops assigned to Copla Plan conducted in 2014 more than 50,000 performances.

The presentation of the Plan Copla in Mazarrón attended several local, including the mayors of Coastal Services, Civil Protection and Youth, Domingo Hernandez, Laura Patricio Ortiz and Sanchez, respectively authorities.
