The beaches of Mazarrón keep adding awards.
On Tuesday, the Minister of Tourism, Juan Hernandez, and the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, starred on the beach of El Castellar the formal ceremony of hoisting flags with the quality and the good condition of the municipal beaches stands .
The site chosen, El Castellar, is a highlight because it adds three distinctions: the blue flag, the flag Q for Quality Tourism and Ecoplayas flag.
Mazarrón beaches this summer added seven blue flags (Rihuete, Harbour, Bay-La Reya, Nares, Castellar, Alamillo and El Mojon), six flags with the Q for Quality Tourism (Bahia, Bolnuevo, Board of Dos Mares, Nares, Castellar and Rihuete) and two distinctions in Castellar and Rihuete Ecoplayas.
In total, fifteen flags that distinguish the beaches of the municipality as one of the best points of the southeast peninsula in quality and status of their bathing places.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, highlighted the work done by various professionals from different municipal areas to achieve such recognition, while the Director, Juan Hernandez, stressed that, precisely because of that work, Mazarrón managed to increase occupancy hotel 10%.
Next to the Mayor have accompanied the Minister of Tourism, during his visit to Mazarrón, the Councillor of Tourism, Maria Angeles Roman and aldermen for Infrastructure, Services and Youth, Pedro Martinez, Domingo Hernandez and Patricio Sánchez, respectively, and technicians different departments and responsible for security and surveillance.
