The President of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, has been in Mazarrón Friday to visit the school premises XXI Century, where Caritas makes one of its summer camps for minors who are part of families at higher vulnerable or at risk of social exclusion.
Pedro Antonio Sánchez visited the facilities of the center accompanied by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Jose Manuel Lorca Planes, the Minister of Family and Equality, Thomas Violante and President of Caritas, José Luis Leante.
During his visit, all the authorities have emphasized the social work performed by both the NGO and the team working for her in this summer camp.
People who "make real and possible social commitment to those most in need," said Pedro Antonio Sanchez.
Summer camp that houses the school Siglo XXI Puerto de Mazarrón accommodates 50 children participating in various recreational and entertainment activities, taking advantage of the facilities that comprise the center: football pitch, gym and properly supervised swimming pool.
The official visit to the camp was also attended by the Councillor for Equality and Social Policy of the City of Mazarrón, Laura Ortiz and Council of Education, Tourism, Culture and Environment, Patricio Sanchez, Maria Angeles Roman, Pedro Martinez and Maria Isabel Lopez, respectively.
