Salvage, 112 Red Cross and Harbour Master has done this morning in waters of the Bay of Mazarrón a mock rescue at sea in the prevention and coordination plan that perform the various local, regional and national authorities.
The exercise has been attended by the Director General of Emergency, Manuel Duran and the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez.
The exact point of the drill was located in his home, near the fishing port and beach front promenade of Puerto de Mazarrón.
50 troops have simulated a ransom of person sea and a boat.
The mayor highlighted the "effective capacity showing different and showing good coordination with the various levels in order to respond to an emergency."
Sergio Rodriguez, Chief of Maritime Rescue, said that the exercise performed today in Mazarrón is part of a monthly program that seeks greater development of the security services.
"In an emergency all information passing through the MRCC (Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centres) where rescue coordinates to 112, Red Cross and security forces, having the naval units and the teams needed," he Rodriguez indicated.
