Youth Guarantee program that helps young people find work in unemployment situation has been extended to 29 years.
It is a European initiative within our country on the Youth Entrepreneurship Strategy adopted in February 2013 by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security.
Mazarrón City Council, in collaboration with the Employment and Training Service (SEF) has joined the program designing various measures that applied from the Center for Municipal Initiatives for Employment (CIME), located on the Avenue of the Constitution of Mazarrón, number 65 (Old People's University).
These initiatives are:
Workshop Active: to encourage initiative in the development of their professional life project.
Select Workshop: to define career goals.
Interview workshop: to train candidates when heading to overcome business and selection processes.
Workshop Job Search Resources: to learn to use other tools: resume, job boards, web pages ...
Complementary activities: orientation workshops in nature, tourist routes, volunteering and hiking.
Implementation of the program is having very good acceptance in the municipality.
Recently, young Red Cross volunteers visited the facilities of the Department of Employment and received a talk about employment and training resources available in the city.
The activity was attended by the Councillor for Employment and Training, Maria Angeles Roman.

To qualify for this program you must be registered, more than 16 years and less than 30 and not having worked in the previous 30 calendar days from the date of filing the application and not receiving educational activities involving more than 40 hours monthly in the 90 preceding the date of filing calendar days, not having received training activities involving more than 40 hours a month within 30 calendar days prior to the date of filing of the application and submit a written statement without interest in participating in the Youth Guarantee System.
The program also encourages entrepreneurs to join the same.
It includes 100 measures among which:
The reduction of social security contributions, reductions and rebates of up to 100% for companies that hire young people under 30 years.
Programs for young people who left school prematurely to obtain the degree of Secondary Education.
Improving the employability of unemployed youth, through training programs with commitment of hiring or training contracts incentive.
And for those who decide to start an entrepreneurial activity, has launched the flat rate of 50 euros for freelancers, they have expanded the possibilities of capitalizing unemployment benefits and compatibility of unemployment benefits made possible with the beginning of a entrepreneurship.
