During the exchange of views between the Mayor and the representation of CEBAG, there has been a review of the situation of agribusiness, trade and tourism in Mazarrón, as well as problems arising from the seasonality of the month Summer, which make the usual 35,000 inhabitants of Mazarrón to triple the two summer months and can exceed 100,000;
with the problems that it can be derived in terms of providing some services and their perception by the public.
The problems associated with illegal hawking also commented extensively, and unfair competition that many establishments suffer from impotence.
Mayor stating that he was aware of this problem and that although they had already taken some steps to alleviate it, would try to intensify, in the remainder of the summer, control over illegal hawking, especially in the Paseo del Puerto.
It has also been said to him from CEBAG that Mazarrón was affected by the next processing of management plans for natural areas and specifically by the API No. 4 that includes spaces as Cope, Calnegre, Beacon and mulberry trees, being located partially and fully the last two respectively in terms of Mazarrón.
Also, questions from representatives of CEBAG, the Mayor commented that after the summer, will study the possible continuity in processing the Urban Plan of the Municipality (PGMO), the former corporation ceased approved in its preliminary phase forward.
The meeting, which was developed in an atmosphere of great cordiality and highly attuned to the issues discussed, has served for both sides to show their willingness to cooperate and to especially since CEBAG show their intention to support and review and participate on all issues raised by the City Council that directly or indirectly affect the business sector in Mazarrón.
