The hamlet of La Majada Mazarron held these days its festivities in honor of the Immaculate Conception.
Monday saw the Mass in honor of the patron saint celebrated by the new priest of Mazarrón, Francisco Jose Fernandez.
At its conclusion the traditional procession through the streets of the village with the presence of the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez and councilors of Celebration, Local Development, Services and Agriculture, Patricio Sanchez, Maria Angeles Roman, Domingo Hernandez and Isabel was held Maria Lopez, besides the headman, Sergio Martinez.
The feast day of the patron saint continued in the evening with a performance of flamenco artist David Andreu and subsequent trophy presentation of the various disputed championships as well as the election of Miss and Mister Guest.
Another of the great days of the fiestas de La Majada was last Friday, September 4, the date on which the proclamation that this year was made by the high school teacher, Juan Zamora took place.
After this event we proceeded to the election of Miss and Mister La Majada and Queen of the Third Age.
The exhibition "Recicla2" by the residents of the hamlet own was also inaugurated.
For eleven days hundreds of residents and visitors have enjoyed very popular celebrations in the town you will have continuity this coming weekend, giving coverage to acts which could not be held because of the weather.
