The President of the Autonomous Community, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, has chosen the CEIP Infanta Leonor de Mazarrón one of the schools visited in his round of contacts during the start of the new school year.
Pedro Antonio Sanchez has traveled with the Minister of Education, Maria Isabel Sanchez, and Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, the resort facilities which celebrates its tenth year, and is also one of the 250 bilingual schools in the region.
Bilingualism and a 70% investment in scholarships
Pedro Antonio Sánchez highlighted the CEIP Infanta Leonor de Mazarrón as an example of the quality of regional education system.
Quality which translates into a commitment to bilingualism.
"This year we have added 31 more bilingual schools," said the president, who also staged the quality inclusive education in ensuring equal opportunities in access.
"We have increased by 70% scholarships for textbooks and school supplies for which we allocate nearly 6 million euros of which will benefit the families Murcia".
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, thanked the regional president's visit to a school that "was the first to introduce bilingualism in the city and later have been adding up to eight more schools, providing quality education and more competitive for the benefit of all Mazarron ".
1,000 teachers and 480 teacher spaces
Another data Pedro Antonio Sanchez stressed during his visit to Mazarrón is the increase in the workforce of teachers.
