They respond to demands to break the seasonality and enhance year-round tourist attraction that brings the coast of the municipality.
Rihuete beaches, Harbor, Island Castellar premieres and 655 meters of prefabricated concrete walkways that mimic wood.
With them it is improved access, allowing the passage of people with limited mobility, being highly resistant.
They make use of them and tourists in September, in a good number, usually elderly.
The walkways will be installed throughout the year and involves the reduction of expenses involved in the maintenance, installation and uninstallation of the previous wooden walkways.
Mazarrón joins other municipalities in the south of the peninsula that have these facilities on its beaches.
Councilwoman Coastal Services, Maria Angeles Roman, considered very positive the new service they provide Mazarrón beaches.
"This is an infrastructure which should have been operational in early summer, something that has not been possible since the approval of your installation (not supplied) was not made on time, as we check to access this Department in mid-June, "says Maria Angeles Roman.
