The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, attended the meeting convened in Alicante by the British Ambassador to Spain, Simon Manley and Sarah-Jane Morris consul to report on the project called Top Ten Towns.
This meeting served to lay the foundations to promote the integration of citizens of the United Kingdom in the Spanish populations of release.
The ambassador emphasized the requirement for registration as an essential task for the English citizen to access all services offered by the town in which it resides.
For this purpose the need for a campaign by the consulate to encourage residents to register was raised.
He also spoke of a "Language Volunteer" and the need to find collaboration to insist residents to learn the Spanish language, avoiding obstacles and difficult situations of everyday life.
a common position of municipal commitment was also established to unlock urban situations that are detrimental to its residents and to seek a solution to ensure services and infrastructure.
The next meeting will take place in October with councilors delegated the powers of foreign relations.
