Sunday December 6 Mazarrón host a new edition of the National Contest of Painting outdoors landscapes Mazarrón "Domingo Valdivieso".
This was announced on Friday the Councillor for Culture, Pedro Martinez, accompanied by Cartagena painter Javier Lorente.
The presentation took place at the viewpoint of Eagle Peak Bay beach.
The Department of Culture has published this week the basis of a competition which is open to artists over 16 residents or not in the country.
The theme of the play is "Landscapes of Mazarrón" and will be reflected on canvas, wood or rigid support, being free to use the technique.
Participants are invited on the morning of December 6 at 8:00 pm in the Cultural Center of Mazarrón.
11:00 hours there will carry the inscription until 18:00 and have time to choose, think and finally translate the work.
The winner will receive a prize of 2,500 euros, the second place and the third 1,500 euros, 1,000 euros.
There will also be a special prize worth 600 euros watercolor and four consolation prizes of 350 euros each.
The jury will be chaired by the Mayor of Mazarrón and is usually made up of painters reference.
In 2014, Pedro Cano and Javier Lorente endowed prestige to an event that in its latest edition showed a greater than fifty people participation.
