Last weekend Mazarrón hosted the V Conference on Emergency Response teams of Red Cross in the region of Murcia.
These teams consist of trained volunteers to intervene at any point of the national territory with a homogenous work methodology.
In Murcia there are four approved equipment, ERIE ERIE Psychosocial and Humanitarian Aid to Migrants, the Healthcare with 24 ambulances and ERIE Provisional Shelter and Logistics.
The conference was inaugurated by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez, local Red Cross president, Carmen Navarro and Vice President of the Spanish Red Cross in Murcia, Faustino Guerrero.
During the conference, participants discussed issues such as the status and capabilities eries in the region or the new law on civil protection.
The practical block included a flood emergency drill.
