The day of the 430 anniversary of the Miracle, Mazarron met the tradition of bringing flowers to the Virgin.
The popular wreath gathered many residents who, as tradition dictates, began their journey in procession from the hospice where previously placed foods that will go to Caritas.
Band of Drums and Bugles led the procession of children dressed in huertanos which were accompanied by members of the Councils of Easter Mazarrón and Puerto, the Virgin Association Milagro and groups and associations such as the Red Cross and Aspadem, in addition to the Franciscan religious asylum.
They deposited upon arrival at the Shrine of the Immaculate beautiful flower baskets.
Alicia Jimenez, Mayor of Mazarrón, headed the group of members of the municipal corporation that wanted to accompany Mazarron in this intimate act that had its climax at the altar before the statue of the patron.
Then it took place at the Shrine the Holy Mass and the blessing and distribution of Oil of the Virgin, the latter act in which one of the events commemorating the miracle happened in the same place on 17 November 1585. In term He proceeded to the traditional procession carrying the image of the Immaculate Conception to the entrance of the church of San Andrés and San Antonio to finally return to Mazarron sanctuary.
The events on the occasion of the Feast of the Miracle will continue this Friday, November 20 with the dramatized reading of the Nine statements Miracle.
A very colorful event in which the younger generation involved and the municipality in which the attestations that gave validity to the miracle happened in the city are staged.
