Ineqa and Mazarrón City Council have launched a recycling campaign to coincide with the time of year when a greater number of purchases is recorded.
During Christmas consumption increases and thus the production of waste.
The Department of Environment of the City of Mazarrón like to take this time to raise public awareness of the importance of recycling and separating especially packaging.
Titled "Mazarrón Recycle" campaign has been presented today by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez and the Councillor for Environment, Maria Isabel Lopez.
The initiative involves the municipality markets and businesses in order to raise awareness Mazarron good management of urban waste and special emphasis on improper, those residues that are deposited in the wrong container.
The campaign reminds the yellow container is for plastic containers, cans and cartons.
Meanwhile, cardboard and paper is only for blue cardboard and glass is deposited in the green containers.
It will present a calendar in markets with recycling information and the information sheet Ecopark also regaling participants with a reusable bag.
A stand equipped with signage to inform customers, also activities for children.
The campaign begins this weekend in the markets of Mazarrón and Puerto de Mazarrón.
In stores, the campaign runs from December 21 to January 4.
Customers who wish to participate will compete for the prize draw for a fleece made from recycled materials.
They will have to fill out a card in each establishment contributor and deposit it in an urn that will be visible both in the City and participating merchants.

The campaign seeks to guide citizens on proper segregation of waste in different containers, making good use of the existing bins and containers of selective collection in the municipality.
