Ten years ago, in 2005, the spa service at the Center for Child Development and Early Intervention of Mazarrón was launched.
Periodically about 25 children attend, along with their parents, to the heated pool La Canada center for water benefits both mechanical and thermal level, as it is warm water.
Serving hydrotherapy are usually children who require additional treatment physiotherapy area.
The sessions are held once a week, in groups having a duration of 40 minutes.
Most children therapy performed with the assistance of a family member, thus promoting interaction and communication in a fun time for them.
The activities consist mainly guided by the therapist in the water games.
The goal is for the child to be as independent as possible and to be a participant.
Hydrotherapy is the branch of hydrology that deals with issues of water on the human body for therapeutic purposes.
With its effects you can achieve an improvement in such important functions as the mobility of body control, breathing capacity and integration.
Water activities are particularly suitable in cases of cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, arthrogryposis and early problems.
