The industrial estate project in Las Pedreras has been finally approved by the Director of Public Works, Housing and Transport, José Ballesta, on Monday 30 June.
The process will begin with a partial plan laid down in sector 1, which has a million square meters, which begins with the largest industrial activity in the municipality of Mazarrón.
'The Quarries' is the first industrial park to be built in the coastal town is strategically located with direct access to the Mazarron-Murcia motorway which connects the Mediterranean motorway and the junction between the Region of Murcia, Andalusia and Valencia .
The situation of the industrial park is located 70 kilometers from the capital, 40 kilometers from the seaport of Cartagena, 55 San Javier airport and just 25 miles from the future airport at Corvera.
This new gear will be a key business for growth and development of the municipality which will increase the industrial connection with the adjacent municipalities, which will also enable the promotion of this activity to regional and national level.
