The Autonomous Community of Murcia, through a proposal from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, approved on Friday 18 July in the Governing Council, the authorization for the procurement of various drainage and general water collector wastewater and stormwater in the municipality of Mazarrón, for a total of over 2.7 million euros.
On the one hand, it is the execution of the works included in the project to improve drainage in the streets Marianas Islands, Axial Way, Avenida Mar de Cristal and the Atlantic Ocean Bay Management, a budget amount based on tender EUR 1,905,958 in two installments.
These works aim to improve the functionality of the existing drainage channel through the channel conditioning will not replace tubing and manifolds.
On the other hand, the Regional Executive has authorized the hiring, spending and the implementation of the works included in the draft general sanitation collectors and rainwater from the streets Del Pino, Del Pilar, Boquera, Maestro Isidro and Avenue of the Moreras with a base budget of 1,450,618 euros bidding, also in two installments.
The performance of these two great works will cause to the towns of Mazarrón and Puerto, a significant improvement in water drainage at times of heavy rain, so that new infrastructure will lessen considerably the floods in these two points in the county historically affected.
