This weekend took place the award of 'Tournament of Living and Traditional Games, held during the months of July and August at the Day Centre Puerto de Mazarrón.
Over two hundred people participated in this competition in which older people have enhanced their mental agility with the popular games that have marked the passing of an entire life.
Parcheesi, the anise, batons, mus, domino game, petanque, the caliche male and female have been the various forms that they understand this' Tournament Coexistence and traditional games. "
Undoubtedly, this activity has been the perfect excuse to set up a meeting between the elderly throughout the Region and other parts of the country and abroad who have visited the town this summer.
In these gatherings the members of these groups have close ties of friendship and have demonstrated values such as sportsmanship.
The trophy ceremony was attended by the Councillor for Sports, Francisco Antonio Raja, who congratulated the collective enthusiasm and the momentum with which they enjoy their leisure time.
The Town Council of Mazarron, through the Department of Sports, has brought the total amount of trophies that were awarded the three participants who have excelled in each of the modalities.
