This morning, the Councillor for Culture, Alicia Jimenez, and the Director of the Universidad Popular, José María López Ballesta, presented in the Auditorium of the City of Mazarrón workshops will be held in the municipality for 2008/2009.
Over a thousand people will benefit from this training, divided into four blocks: computing, languages, creativity, support and education.
The courses cover a wide variety of topics, therefore, in the field of new technologies could not miss the computer training with two levels: beginner and professional.
Job training for citizens may be supplemented with courses in accounting and management of SMEs.
Currently, learning languages is essential, therefore, three workshops will be taught English at various levels and even one of them would be dedicated to customer service, which is organized considering the demands of the traders in the municipality.
Foreign residents of the town also have the opportunity to delve into the knowledge of our language with Spanish courses (beginner, advanced and conversation) and also have the opportunity to participate in other courses.
In the field of creativity it is worth noting the wide range of courses such as 'drawing and painting', 'kitchen', 'digital photography', 'guitar', 'guitar' and 'make', in which the Mazarron may develop their artistic potential.
The 'gym', the 'aerobics', the 'yoga' and 'tai chi' are some of the courses that make up the area of fitness that will be complemented with ballroom and flamenco.
The public may know the history of the town through various courses called 'rendezvous with history', 'history of Mazarrón', 'workshop report', 'ethnography', 'workshop of nature', framed in the education section .
Alicia Jimenez, during the meeting with the media, highlighted the Spanish courses for foreign residents, the training courses for professional and recreational as indispensable to ensure the leisure and learning to Mazarron.
Also, the Councillor has also made special mention of the free courses related to the history of Mazarrón, in which citizens can enter their land unknowns.
José María López Ballesta noted that the courses revolve around three themes: quality, diversity and participation to meet the training demands of the municipality.
The deadline for course registration will be from 22 September to 3 October from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 20:00 to 22:00 h.
