The celebrations of Salitre have assembled a large population center, attracted by competitions, musical performances, mobile disco foam, the procession and wreath in honor of the Virgen de Santa Barbara.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Councillor for Fiestas, Luisa María Heredia, have also witnessed some of the games events held during this weekend in this popular neighborhood in the municipality.
Undoubtedly, Salitre neighbors have given an example of the importance of preserving the traditions and customs of yesteryear with a festival in which the protagonists are citizens.
The performances of 'Lobesia', 'Paco Moyano,' the 'duo JT' and 'Tania' were just some of the musical activities that have livened up the evening events as significant in this corner of the municipality.
Jokes contests, desserts and costumes added to the games, karaoke and mobile disco foam have delighted young and old who have not hesitated to come to this area of the town.
These parties were born eight years ago through the efforts and perseverance of a neighbor, Juan Antonio Belmonte Heredia, known as "Mister", who was the greatest precursor of youth nightlife Mazarrón, creating the first pubs in the town.
The Town Council of Mazarron, through the Department of Parties, welcomed the broad participation of citizens with which these leisure activities, holidays and devotees have consolidated his career.
