The Youth Council of the City of Mazarrón has joined the initiative 'Area 36' to raise awareness activities for young people aged between 14 and 30 other municipalities in the region such as Totana, Alhama, Puerto Lumbreras, Lorca and Aledo, integrated into this program.
The objectives of the youth program are to enhance the association, collective work and the interrelationship of these joint projects.
With this exchange of experiences on leisure activities and leisure and dissemination of information on youth participation activities is to reach out to more people.
Among the localities, built-in 'Area 36', have created spaces for the technical work involved in youth participation through monthly meetings to plan these activities.
The optimization of the resources of the municipalities is another objective of 'Area 36' and, in turn, this will facilitate the exchange of different materials, monitors, mediators or young people may be of interest for certain programs.
Each month will organize an activity in one of the municipalities involved in the project, where young people may also participate in other localities.
The planned measures include photography workshops, crafts, scavenger hunts and concerts, among other activities.
'Area 36' becomes a database of youth activities that can build relationships between young people from different municipalities through the website www.area36.es with which promote the dissemination of program activities.
