The Bonnot Villard French delegation, consisting of a mayor and seven aldermen, has visited this weekend the town after more than a year of twinning with Mazarrón interested.
On Friday morning the French delegation was received at the Town Hall at a special event which was attended by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, with his team of Government and the Municipal Socialist Group representative, Francisco García.
In the afternoon, the French delegation began its route along the coast past the beaches bathed by the municipality, and conducting guided tours of Erosions Bolnuevo, the fishing port and the Spanish Oceanographic Institute.
Saturday was a day more intense because the route was distributed art greenhouses and horticultural company, which knew the techniques of handling and packaging of agricultural products.
In the afternoon, the French visitors were witnessing one of the great wonders that have the municipality as well as the Water Park, which penetrated into the lagoons of Gravera, the old treatment plant, new sewage and desalination.
In yesterday's route was dedicated to the historical, cultural and artistic make up the municipality, such as the Archaeological Museum 'Salted Roman Factory', the Shrine of the Immaculate, the Consistory, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the town hall The Church of St. Andrew, the Castle of Los Velez and the Audience 'Marquesa de Los Vélez. In last night held a farewell dinner of the French delegation, in which visitors thanked both the Mayor of Mazarron and the mayors of the government team during the warm welcome received on three days' stay in the town.
