Local Board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) has made this morning an information table about breast cancer at the door of the town hall of Mazarrón.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Councillor for Social Policy, Yolanda Vivancos, have come to the meeting with AECC to support the work of this body generally at the local level all over Spain and the municipality.
Also, Francisco Blaya has sent a message of hope and encouragement to all those who suffer from this disease to continue fighting, and thanks to continuous research is increasing life expectancy.
The ceremony was also attended by the Councillor of the Presidency, Alicia Jiménez, and the President of Spanish Association Against Cancer Mazarrón, Isabelle Vivancos, accompanied by members of the Junta Local de Mazarrón.
In this briefing the City Council wanted to commemorate the International Day Breast Cancer, held on Sunday 19 October.
This initiative aims to raise awareness and women in the municipality, and that early detection is crucial for cure.
People who have gone through the City Hall Plaza throughout the morning have been ties to the flap, as well as brochures and extensive documentation to prevent this disease.
