The Town Council of Mazarron and the Directorate General of Sports of the Autonomous Community of Murcia have greenway implementation of 13 modules sport during the academic year 2008/2009, for schools in the municipality.
Schoolchildren and youth in the municipality can practice different sports such as athletics, chess, basketball, handball, football, orienteering, triathlon and volleyball thanks to a grant from the Ministry of the Presidency of the Autonomous Region of Murcia.
These sports have been granted in accordance with requests and needs of each school presented.
This period of sports, which adds its dual function fun and educational, will be held from next December to May 2009.
