The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, accompanied by the Councillor for Education, Concepción Ballesta, has recently closed 'Criminology Specialization Course - The figure of maltrador' in the hall of the Culture Department.
In the closing ceremony also featured the Mazarron Fernando Navarro Aznar, who holds the position of Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Murcia.
This course, which involved more than one hundred people, has attracted the attention of students and graduates, Bodies and State Security Forces, Local Police, Civil Guard, National Police, social workers and others interested in the subject.
For four days, students and pupils, attracted by the theme of the course at various points in the Region of Murcia, have learned to detect the modus operandi of the perpetrators, knowledge of the policy regarding domestic violence and enforcement of penalty of offenders.
Among the speakers should be noted that the talks have starred in the Doctor of Political Science at the University of Murcia, Antonio Garrido, and the Director of the Penitentiary of Murcia, Guillermo Miranda.
This course has been made possible by the Office of University Extension of Mazarrón, the result of the agreement established between the City of Mazarrón and the University of Murcia.
Currently, the Department of Education of the City of Mazarrón already working on the upper course of the next organization that will be released in early 2009.
