Mazarrón citizens have, for over nine years with an Occupational Classroom intended for all those who have more than sixteen years and presenting any mental disability and / or sensory.
This free service sponsored by the Department of Social Policy of the City of Mazarrón has a full agenda of activities for users of Occupational Classroom.
Three instructors and fellow care for fifteen users of this center, Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 13:00 h.
and from 16:00 to 18:00, to enhance social and communication skills.
Pottery workshops, painting, bookbinding, crafts, handmade soaps and candles, bags of comics and leather bracelets raise the imagination and creativity of these young people.
At recess the monitors, who guide users through the center, we offer table games to reward them for work performed and make way for a period of rest, leisure and fun.
Afternoon Occupational Classroom users receive educational support with intensive instruction in reading and writing to promote their cognitive and emotional potential.
Throughout the year many activities are performed by members of the Hall Occupational excursions, activities with schools in the municipality, in particular with students from third grade, as well as its ongoing participation in all related schedules social life of Mazarrón.
As proof of this in the last Christmas the members of the Hall Occupational created a clay who visited Bethlehem over two thousand people in the Senior Municipal Center in the municipality.
