The Department of Agriculture of the City of Mazarrón informs citizens on the opening date to request three economic aid to farming.

'Initial installation', 'Modernization of agricultural holdings "and" Conversion of certain citrus plantations' are the lines that revolves around the economic boost to farmers.

Corresponding to 'Initial installation' of a farm is aimed at self-employed farmers over 18 years and under 40 years.

Among the requirements is worth noting that the incumbent will be the first to undertake this activity, must be formed and / or committed to this profession and present a business plan.

The amount of aid can reach a maximum of up to 35,000 euros per installation, being increased in two cases: if this is in disadvantaged areas and / or creates employment to a person other than the owner.

Both actions will be rewarded with an amount of 2,500 euros.

The help on "Modernization of Farms' is for self-employed farmers over 18 years and under 65 years who wish to improve facilities on their farms.

Being a farm owner, submit an improvement plan, commit to exercise an agricultural activity for five years, meet environmental standards, keep abreast of tax liabilities and social security are some of the requirements for access aid.

The amount will range between 40 and 50 percent of the investment, with the € 300,000 limit.

Aid for the 'Conversion of certain citrus plantations' are directed to the owners of farms that meet some of the following conditions: be affiliated with a OPFH

and marketing their own production and marketing justify its citrus.

The limit and the amount of aid shall be thirty percent of the eligible investment, bearing in mind that these investments may not exceed the following amounts per hectare, cost of starting and new planting 12,000 euros per hectare cost of 11,500 euros reattached per hectare, as well as complementary investments in irrigated plots were already being grown in irrigated 3,500 euros per hectare.

This amount may be increased by 10 points if it is a professional farmer, 10 points in case of a farm in disadvantaged areas and 10 points for being young farmer.
