There are nine defibrillators, seven manuals and two mobile units which analyze the patient's heart rate before applying the electric shock and ensure speed of service.
The heart attack is the leading cause of death worldwide.
The speed with which it must act in these cases is critical because the chance of survival decreases to ten percent each minute without the application of the defibrillator.
For application, the town has a thirty professionals Civil Protection, Red Cross volunteers have been trained by the Civil Protection Service of the City to efficiently manage these devices in cardiac resuscitation.
Defibrillators that houses the town of Mazarrón are distributed by the rapid off-road vehicles, preventive services and emergency care, vehicle monitoring and coordination of off-road beach rescue, ambulances, emergency medical transport, equipment immediate emergency response and multi-purpose vehicle of the Red Cross.
The British charity 'PALS' has given selflessly and repeatedly medical supplies to the town found between the nine defibrillators.
