This morning the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, along with members of the Governing Body and the Municipal Corporation has wrapped up a visit to the municipality by the Delegate of the Government of the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar.
This meeting, which was created to establish a direct connection between the two institutions and enable them to develop new initiatives in support of the local public security has taken place in the town hall of Mazarrón.
"Mazarrón is a safe city," so said the delegate of the Government of the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, during a meeting with the media, who has also broken the 16 percent reduction of crime and 24 percent of failures in 2008.
These figures are the result of intensive joint work between local police and the Guardia Civil de Mazarrón.
In this act Blaya y Tovar projects submitted Local Investment Fund.
The main project that includes this funding is to build a new municipal market in the Constitution Avenue in the old store the rooster.
Sports facilities and layout of streets throughout the municipality complete the remaining activities to be funded by the Local Investment Fund whose actions have a total of 5,772,649 euros.
In this regard, Blaya has stated that the determination of the projects have been taken into account the most pressing needs of citizens.
For his part, Tovar has ensured that this initiative aims to generate employment and boost the economy with 99 direct jobs.
After the meeting with the media, Francisco Blaya and Rafael Gonzalez has started the Local Security Board which also featured the Local Police Sergeant Mazarrón, the Civil Guard Lieutenant, Councillor for Citizen Security and City Secretary.
At that meeting have been discussed issues related to public safety in the municipality, the common denominator being the coordination of activities between the National Police, the Guardia Civil and Local Police to achieve greater effectiveness in its work of prevention and protection citizens.
