The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, received this morning the visit of the Director General of Natural Heritage, Pablo Fernandez, who has been interested in knowing the current situation in which the pond is the Rambla of mulberry trees and the winch.
The visit also attended by the mayors of the Environment, Juana Maria Morales, Tourism, Alicia Jiménez, and Urban Affairs, José Antonio Román.
Blaya, during a meeting with the media, detailing the importance to the municipality the enhancement of wetlands in the Moreras that today houses a rich birdlife of over twenty different species in an ideal environment for reproduction and nutrition.
This project will give citizens a place to display all the birds and ensure their conservation and facilitating sustainable development throughout the natural environment.
Another issue that has prompted Fernandez to visit the town is the restoration of the tower of the windlass and the adequacy of the environment for them to visit.
In this regard, Fernandez noted the intention that this area be protected and enjoyed by all Mazarron.
The transfer of the college of the Hunters to the Directorate General of Natural Heritage is another novelty with which it will be the location of a specific office to forest officials in a near Cañada de Gallego Pastrana and well connected to the N- 332.
These actions of conservation and preservation of natural environments Mazarrón will focus on three areas as: the tourist, cultural and environmental.
