The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Councillor of Tourism, Alicia Jiménez, this morning attended the opening of the XVIII National Chamber of Tourism and Leisure, Turismur 2009, at the Fairgrounds Torre Pacheco (IFEPA).
The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, who has chaired this event, has visited the stand of Mazarrón and has shown great interest in tourism in the municipality.
This year's stand as a firm commitment Mazarrón houses for tourism promotion Mazarrón Interpretation Center Phoenician ship that opens to the public this summer.

Turismur Visitors will also learn on the stand the advantages offered by the municipality of Mazarrón among which outline its 35 miles of coastline, of which 10 miles are unspoiled coastline.
The rich natural heritage, archaeological and cultural district are some of the reasons that attract a large number of hits to Mazarrón, especially during holiday periods.
