The parting of the Carnival has had a significant participation has gathered more than seven hundred people in the Town Hall Square on the occasion of the awards to the groups and the burning of Don Carnal and Doña Cuaresma.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, together with members of the Governing Body as the Councillor for Fiestas, Luisa María Heredia, Councillor of Culture, Alicia Jiménez, Councillor for Youth, Francisco Antonio Raja, the Town Planning Councillor, José Antonio Román and the Councillor for Health, Concepción Ballesta, have wrapped the event dressed in costumes.
This year the Carnival Parade has had a dozen troupes participating, resulting as a first prize of 1,200 euros a rock 'Salsalá', the second the gym 'Fitness Dance' with 900 euros and the third "Star of the Sea 'with a prize 600 euros.
The children's prize was awarded to the Association of College Parents of Infanta Leonor to 900 euros.
The raucous rock award has gone to the Association of Parents of Public School Ginés García, Salsalá spectacular, the one organized for the rock 'Percheles Beaches', the color for the 'Cultural Association The Hermitage', elegance the rock 'Caño del Molino', choreography to 'Salsalá', the original to the 'Association Caño del Molino', making the 'Centro de Mazarrón Day', the photogenic to the Association of Parents of Public School The Canada.
