Regional Day of the Nazarene, held this Sunday in Mazarrón, has brought about a thousand people connected to sixty Brotherhoods of different points of geography and the rest of the country and town citizens and visitors who do not have hesitated to participate in this event as symbolic.
This celebration, which has seen the prelude to the Easter Mazarron, is the biggest showcase for the promotion of historical, cultural and tourist local Easter.
The ceremony started with the inauguration of the monument in honor of the Regional Day of the Nazarene, located in the Plaza del Romeral near the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, in which citizens may recall his step today.
Following the inauguration of the monument, the committee has continued the path with a sightseeing tour of the main attractions of the city as the historic center, where is the Castle of Los Velez, the town hall and the sanctuary of La Purisima.
The formal presentation of the act was performed by the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, Councillor of Culture Alicia Jimenez, and the President of the Cabildo of guilds of Mazarrón, Ginés Campos, who have noted the importance of this day, as well as dissemination of cultural and religious traditions of Holy Week among all groups.
