The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Councillor for Social Policy, Yolanda Vivancos, presented this morning, I Intercultural Encounter in the City Hall.
Citizens may enter this pioneering initiative in Mazarrón 27 and March 28 whose first act will be holding a round table under the topic "Impact of crisis on immigrants."
The outdoor performances will take place during the two days in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento with various workshops, tastings and Arab, English, Ecuador, Senegal and Spanish.
The parade Argentine Folkloric Ballet of Senegal and a musical performance by a Romanian group will transform the old environment.
Workshops braids, tattoos, balloon twisting, percussion and increase awareness among the smallest social values learning through play activities.
Intercultural programming will be guided by different monitors who guide to all attendees so they can enjoy the fullness of the two days.
As an alternative to this interesting program on the street, the City Hall will host the forum with a documentary film on Senegal and a forum on immigration.
Currently, the municipality of Mazarrón has a population of more than 36,000 people from over eighty different nationalities which supports the activities of this type whose main objective is to promote among all groups in the municipality's learning values such as integration, coexistence, tolerance and solidarity.
This event, organized by the Department of Social Policy Mazarrón City Council in collaboration with the Islamic community North of Puerto de Mazarrón and tawasul Association, will take place on 27 and 28 March.
This activity is intended for all municipal associations and the rest of the Region of Murcia linked to immigration policies, and all citizens who so desire.
