This weekend took place on Easter Proclamation of Puerto de Mazarrón by Juan José Sánchez Wheeler, the current pastor of Puerto de Mazarrón.
The event, which took place in the Church of San José, has visited the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, along with members of the Team, and the chairmen of the Councils of guilds of Mazarrón and Puerto.
The event started with the action of the church choir followed by the intervention of the President of the Cabildo of Guilds of Puerto de Mazarrón, Francisco Osuna, who has welcomed liturgical and cultural events hosted by the coastal village of town until Sunday Resurrection.
Subsequently, the President of the Confraternity of San Juan Evangelista, José de la Cruz, who has given way to the Town Crier for the Week of Puerto de Mazarrón, has devoted a few words these days of passion whose lineup this year includes the image of San Juan Evangelista.
The Town Crier, Justo José Sánchez Wheeler, has set forth a solemn and heartfelt speech in which he highlighted the significance for Christians the celebration of Holy Week and the importance of these acts have continued through new generations.
After reading the Proclamation, the Councillor for Culture, Alicia Jimenez, who congratulated the pastor of Puerto de Mazarron for his memorable speech, has invited all citizens to share in the schedule of Holy Week.
Jimenez pointed out that this unmissable Easter are the first 'Market Nazarene', located in the vicinity of the beach Rihuete, from 9 to 12 April and the triple exposure 'Semana Santa Nazarene', which remain open until Friday, in the building of the town hall of Mazarrón.
The event was closed by Francisco Blaya, who has expressed the importance of the fusion of faith and culture in the enrichment of Holy Week in Puerto de Mazarrón and appointed Nazarene José de Haro Year Coy, who is the greatest Costalero of the Confraternity of San Juan Evangelista, 83, and one of the largest distributors of Holy Week in Puerto de Mazarrón.
The Parish Choir performance has put the finishing touch to the Easter Proclamation of Puerto de Mazarron which each year celebrates its mission with the invaluable work done by the City Council of Fraternities and Guilds of Puerto de Mazarrón, composed of the San Juan Evangelista , San Pedro, Our Lady of Sorrows and Christ's forgiveness and the Virgin of Pardons.
