Mazarrón committed to promoting new technologies to all citizens, who are the exponents of the important benefits it brings to society in both industrial and educational aspects.

This emerging interest is guaranteed with the imminent conclusion of the 'IX Forum of the Information Society in the Region of Murcia' (SICARM 2009), which for the first time, will house the town thanks to the Autonomous Community of Murcia in cooperation with the Department of New Technologies of the City of Mazarrón and other public and private.

This unmissable event, free for all groups, will run for four days, namely from 23 to 26 April from 11:00 to 14:00

and 17:00 to 21:00 h.

in the marina along the promenade of Puerto de Mazarrón.

Attendees will enjoy technology demonstrations and various educational workshops, recreation, entertainment, electronics recycling, chroma key, digital photography, computer security, Internet, modding, gadgets and curiosities.

Workshop leisure and entertainment, will be enabled on a space with video game consoles and next generation.

Another area addressed in terms of technology, electronics recycling will be to publicize the benefits of reuse of discarded electronic material, its new uses and where deposited.

Also, workshops chroma key, digital photography, computer security, Internet, gadgets modding and demonstrate the features of the different applications involved in new technologies.

Attendees will also participate in a space intended for the forum where you can learn about and discuss current technology issues.

Guests will also exhibit their work on the wall that you can view the entire world.

The smaller the Tecnoencuentro recipients, where they can enjoy compositions of reusable parts, as well as the staging of puppet theater.

Pupils of schools and teaching of the whole town will also attend along with their teachers to technology sessions, organized specifically for them during the morning sessions of 23 and 24 April.

The Consistory of Mazarrón invites all citizens and visitors who enter the knowledge of new technologies through these demonstrations and workshops will be exhibited in the town for four days.
