The director general of Telecommunications and Information Society, Pedro García Diego, today inaugurated 'SICARM traveling 2009' in Mazarrón, which runs through next Sunday, April 26, set in the Ninth Annual Forum of the Information Society in the Region Murcia (SICARM).
'SICARM itinerant' was launched in Las Torres de Cotillas on 16 April and continue for Cehegín, Murcia, Aguilas, Torre Pacheco and La Union with the aim of bringing technology to the citizens of the region.
To do so, said the CEO, "there will be workshops, contests and seminars to achieve a high degree of participation in the Information Society."
On this occasion, SICARM visit seven municipalities, one town rather than in its previous edition, which shows "the great participation of citizens in this event," Garcia said.

Since 2001, annually SICARM includes a set of technology events in the region to analyze and experiment with the possibilities that new technologies offer.

Among the activities planned for the ninth edition of SICARM, held in Murcia from 7 to 10 May, there are numerous developments in the eGovernment services, such as the Platform for Electronic Administration of the Autonomous Region de Murcia, E-business portal in the Region of Murcia (Cecarm) or portal Murcia Digital, awarded for its emergency service via mobile video calls.
