This morning the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, next to the Director General of Disabled People, Maria Socorro Morente, and the Councillor for Social Policy, Yolanda Vivancos, inaugurated the store Mazarrón Occupational Center.
Mazarrón Occupational Center is undertaking a new challenge with the opening of his tent, in which all people may wish to purchase products made by its users.
Artisanal products which citizens can be found in this unique trade range from notebooks, folders, pens, cardboard, bookmarks, handbags, scented candles, soaps, figurines to bracelets.
This initiative, undertaken by the Department of Social Policy, has a great team committed to developing this project, consisting of the Director of Occupational Center, Salvador Sanchez Rodriguez, the monitors and user of it, who are eager to distribute their products to all citizens.
Francisco Blaya, during a meeting with the media, stated that the store symbolizes overcoming Occupational Center users who work and effort have succeeded in developing a large project, no doubt, takes you closer to citizens .
Mazarrón Occupational Center, which has about ten active years, serves people living in the city who have mental disabilities and / or sensory impairment after the age of 16 are not in the working world as self-employed or self-employment.
One of the primary objectives of the store Occupational Center is to present to the Mazarron all this work and provide services to companies and groups and contribute to the creative training, the manual dexterity and full participation of these people.
Proceeds from the sale of products directly benefit the users of the Occupational Center, who will enjoy improved service and new options for leisure as well as workshops and facilities maintenance.
Occupational Center Store, located at the Center Integration and Social Participation in Our Lady of Fatima Street No 3 (Urbanización La Canada), will be open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 13:00 h.
and from 16:00 to 18:00 h.
